Profile: Takao Suzuki
Artist/Live Painter

Takao Suzuki, who has been painting since childhood, has produced a large number of works utilizing a variety of techniques such as oils, drawing, computer graphics and print. His art has been featured in five published children's books, several CD jackets and large mural works.

Takao exhibited his "METROPOLIS" series of drawings in 2005. Based upon the theme of creating a "balance between the development of science and the human mind," he revealed the unconscious quality of meaninglessness behind the existence of "science and mind" that develop on our modern society.

Takao employs a different art style for his dynamic live paint performances, utilizing Japanese charcoal "Sumi" ink to enchant the audience while harmonizing with the location and atmosphere.

Takao formed "PinT," a live paint unit, in 2009 with artist PINKMAN. The two artists use their contrasting styles to depict vibrant worlds that take away their audience's breath, and perhaps even their very sense of time.
